Campus Loan Program

Select works of art from the Brown University Campus Collections are available for loan to eligible departments and offices and for exhibit in appropriate public spaces on campus.

  • Requests for artwork will be processed in the order received. Selections will vary depending upon rotating inventory and object condition.
  • Once a request has been submitted, the University Curator will be in contact to establish a time frame for selection and installation.
  • Collection staff authorizes all art installation or removal and is responsible for moving, handling, storing and installing objects from the Campus Collections.
  • Objects may not be moved, unframed, restored, or otherwise handled by the borrower.
  • Artwork in the Campus Loan Program is always subject to recall by the University Curator should it be needed for research, exhibition or conservation.
  • A one-time loan fee of $150.00 per object will be charged.
