Campus Collections

Projects

Campus Collection projects cultivate a deeper understanding and engagement with the University's art and properties.

The University Curator strives to preserve and enhance access to Brown University Collections. She does this by conducting scholarly research, generating exhibitions and facilitating awareness of Brown University Collections. Past and current projects reflect these goals. Brown Campus Collections include the Brown Portrait Collection, The Edwin Aylsworth Burlingame Collection of Rhode Island Artists, the Gardner House Collection and Historic Properties.

Current Project

The University Curator is seeking members of the Brown student body to write and give public art tours. This is a unique opportunity to research and freely interpret works of art on Brown's campus and lend your voice and fresh perspective to a 45-minute public tour.
