The Brown Portrait MEME Project is an experimental initiative to connect the portrait collection to the current day using virally-transmitted, socially current internet MEMES. The goal of the project is to educate the Brown community to important contributions and legacies of portrait subjects with humorous, sharable content. Coordinated by Public Humanities student, Bella Jiang (MA '19) the campaign runs through 2018.
